Samsung Refrigerator Repair

Samsung refrigerators are the most common Samsung appliance we work on in Central Florida, and most service calls come down to a handful of repeat problems. Florida’s heat and humidity make several of them worse.

• Ice maker freezing up or not making ice: On many French door models the ice maker sits in the fresh-food door, so it relies on careful airflow and defrost control. When that airflow or the seals fail, ice builds up around the ice maker and the ice bucket jams. • Fan error codes and loud fan noise: Samsung refrigerators report fan faults on the display, and a fan that hits ice makes a buzzing or ticking sound. We clear the frost and fix the reason it formed.
• Water on the floor or ice in the bottom of the freezer: This usually points to a clogged or frozen drain line, a leaking water line, or a cracked filter housing.
• Warm refrigerator and freezer together: When both sections warm up, we check the condenser fan, the inverter compressor and its control board, and the sealed system. AMB Works is EPA Universal certified for refrigerant work, so sealed-system diagnosis is handled on the same visit.

Samsung Washer Repair

Samsung front-load and top-load washers show error codes when something goes wrong. Exact codes vary by model and year, but these are the ones we see most:

• UE or Ub (unbalanced load): A single heavy item or a small load can trigger it. When it keeps happening with normal loads, worn shocks, suspension rods, or a failed hall sensor are common causes. Our Samsung washer UE error guide covers what you can check first.
• dC (door or lid): The lid or door isn’t detected as closed, often because of a worn lid lock, switch, or wiring.
• 5C, 5E, SE or nd (drain): A blocked drain pump filter, a kinked hose, or a failed drain pump.
• 4C, 4E or nF (water supply): Closed or kinked supply valves, clogged inlet screens, or a failed water inlet valve.
• Leaking, odors and vibration: Front-load door boots collect lint and moisture, and worn tub bearings show up as a loud roar during spin.

Samsung Dryer Repair

• Not heating or HE/hE codes: On electric dryers we test the heating element, thermal fuse, and thermostats. On gas dryers we check the igniter, flame sensor, and gas valve coils.
• Takes too long to dry: The most common cause is a restricted vent. A clogged vent also trips the thermal fuse and is a fire risk, so we always check airflow.
• Squealing, thumping or not tumbling: Worn drum rollers, idler pulleys, or a broken drive belt.
• tS or tO codes: A failed temperature sensor (thermistor) or a wiring fault.

Ranges and ovens: We repair oven elements and igniters that won’t heat, ovens that miss their temperature, cooktop burners that won’t ignite or won’t stay lit, and touch controls that don’t respond. Repair or Replace Your Samsung Appliance?

Most Samsung appliances are worth repairing. Our general guide:

• Usually worth repairing: ice maker, fan, defrost, drain pump, inlet valve, door lock, heating element, belt, roller, and sensor repairs. These are moderate-cost fixes on appliances that often have many years of life left.
• Worth a closer look: control board and inverter board failures. They can be repaired, but the cost should be weighed against the appliance’s age and condition.
• Often time to replace: a refrigerator over about 12–15 years old with a sealed-system failure, or a washer with a failed tub bearing and a worn outer tub. We’ll tell you honestly when replacing makes more sense than repairing.

Samsung Maintenance Tips for Florida Homes

• Clean the refrigerator condenser coils every 6–12 months. Florida garages and hot kitchens make the compressor work harder.
• Change the water filter about every 6 months to protect the ice maker and water valve.
• Leave the front-load washer door open after each wash and wipe the door boot to prevent mold and odors.
• Clean the washer drain pump filter every few months.
• Clean the dryer lint screen every load and have the vent cleaned once a year.
• Keep refrigerator doors closed and seals clean. Humid air getting in is a leading cause of ice maker freeze-ups.

What to Check Before You Call

• Make sure the appliance has power and the breaker hasn’t tripped.
• Write down any error code on the display.
• For washers, check that the supply valves are open and the drain hose isn’t kinked.
• For refrigerators, make sure vents inside aren’t blocked by food and the temperature settings haven’t changed.
• Find the model and serial number label. On refrigerators it’s usually inside on a side wall; on washers and dryers it’s often inside the door frame or on the back.
